This article explores the role of AI-based chatbots in foreign language learning and examines their benefits for Azerbaijani students. In the modern era, learning a foreign language has become an essential component of global communication skills. With the advancement of artificial intelligence, chatbots have been widely used to create personalized learning environments and enhance speaking and listening skills. This paper investigates the functional capabilities of chatbots, their application in foreign language learning, and the prospects for Azerbaijani students to benefit from this technology. It also discusses the limitations that chatbots face in language teaching and ways to overcome them. The findings indicate that artificial intelligence facilitates a more interactive and accessible language learning experience.
